During his career, John Bralower has completed over $40 billion of investment, debt, equity, corporate finance, and M&A advisory transactions for many of the real estate and hospitality industry’s leading companies. These have included properties and firms located in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Mr. Bralower has completed major hospitality transactions including the acquisition of the Savoy Hotel Group (including London’s Savoy, Connaught and Claridge’s), the sale of the Westin St. Francis hotel, the acquisition of a 5-Star European hotel portfolio (which included The Gritti Palace and Danieli in Venice, The Principe Di Savoia in Milan, Le Meurice in Paris and the St. Regis in Rome), the capitalization for Universal Studios Orlando’s resort developments, and the sale of the New York’s Plaza and Palace Hotels, among many others.
Mr. Bralower has also completed several billion dollars of office, retail, residential, and mixed-use transactions. These include the $450 million capitalization for the acquisition and repositioning of the J. C. Penney headquarters in Dallas, TX and the $840 million capitalization for the acquisition and conversion of Manhattan House, the largest single-asset residential transaction in history.
In addition to his role at Ironstone Group, Mr. Bralower also serves as Managing Partner of Six Senses Capital and Strategic Advisor to Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas. Prior to joining Ironstone Group, Mr. Bralower was Managing Director, Principal, and Co-head of Avison Young’s US Capital Markets and Global Hospitality practices. Previously, Mr. Bralower held senior leadership positions as President and shareholder, as well as Management Committee member, of Sonnenblick-Goldman Company; Managing Director, shareholder, and Co-head of Global Real Estate Investment Banking at Houlihan Lokey; and President and Managing Director of the Carlton Group (CHG).
A lifelong environmentalist, Mr. Bralower has been privileged to combine his knowledge of environmental law, particularly as it relates to conservation easements, with his real estate experience. This has allowed him to save thousands of acres of open space and several historic buildings through easements, purchases and conservation development.
Mr. Bralower is an Advisory Board member of the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund Realty and Construction Council, a full member of the Urban Land Institute, and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS). Mr. Bralower serves as Chairman of the Village of Oyster Bay Cove Planning Board and is a founder and Vice Chairman of the North Shore Land Alliance.
He previously served on the NYU Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management’s Advisory Board. He is a graduate of the George Washington University and Fordham Law School and is a member of the New York State Bar.
Peter Steier

With more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience, Peter Steier is focused on Capital Markets, Structured Finance, and Equity platforms in New York City and globally. His diverse background in debt and equity, structured finance, investment sales, as well as investment banking and advisory, has given him exposure to all facets of the business both domestically and internationally.
Throughout his career, Mr. Steier has been involved in the origination, underwriting, closing and servicing of over $10 billion of mortgage transactions though his primary focus is in structured finance which totals in excess of $20 billion, which include participating mortgages, convertible debt, preferred equity, mezzanine financing, equity placement, hypothecation of partnership notes, tax-exempt bond financings, joint ventures and portfolio restructurings.
Prior to joining Ironstone Group, Mr. Steier served as Senior Director of Avison Young Capital Markets. Prior roles include Managing Director, Head of Equity Capital Markets for Meridian Capital Group and built a full-service equity capital markets platform to complement the Company’s well-established debt capital markets expertise. He has relationships with and has raised equity in excess of $12 billion from varied types of sources including: private equity funds, hedge funds, pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, family offices, as well as high net worth individuals.
Prior to joining Meridian, Mr. Steier was Managing Director with The Carlton Group focusing on Investment and Loan Sales together with debt and equity investments. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Inland Capital Corporation where he oversaw the East Coast Region. His primary responsibilities were originating, structuring and closing value add and repositioned transactions for both debt and equity, focusing on office, multi family, retail and light industrial properties and raising equity for several of the private REITS as well.
Prior to joining Inland Capital Corporation, Mr. Steier had similar responsibilities with LEM Mezzanine (Lubert Adler Funds), where he assisted in creating the fund, raising equity for several of the Funds and structured the acquisition of complex portfolios, preferred equity and mezzanine transactions.
Previously, he was a Principal in several private commercial real estate transactions focusing on investment strategies, development and equity placement and was Senior Director of Mortgage Loans and Real Estate with Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company where he managed the mortgage loan and equities portfolio totaling in excess of $10 billion.
He has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate structured finance, mortgage banking, and portfolio management as well as both an owner and developer of commercial real estate projects.
